The INFO BASICS Workshop

The BASICS workshop provides front line novice facilitators with training and an opportunity to build their confidence to facilitate debriefings. 

• The BASICS workshop is the building block for establishing a culture of clinical event debriefing in your unit. This is not a formal debriefing course that we are used to in simulation. It is a two hour deep dive into the INFO tool and focuses on each section of the INFO tool to provide background and suggestions on how to manage possible questions relating to each section.
• BASICS workshop participants are able practice and receive feedback through simulated INFO debriefings. 
• Target group – The intended facilitator group e.g. charge nurses, respiratory therapists.
• Goal – train the facilitators for 24/7 debriefing coverage.
• Workshop – 2 hour novice facilitator training.

    • 1 x one hour pre-workshop session to customize the INFO debriefing tool.
    • 2 x one hour follow up sessions to track progress and provide support as needed.
